No matter how many birds designs I add to the BvB lineup, there are always more waiting in the wings (ha ha).  It’s hard to decide which feathered friends should be next, especially since my customers are always coming up with great suggestions and lobbying for their favorites.  As summer comes upon us, which means I’m already thinking about the holiday shopping season (eep!), I’ve been hard at work browsing through bird books, looking at photos, and of course keeping an eye on my local guys.

I’m ambitiously planning on adding twelve new birds by the end of July: a sextet of shorebirds and a group of what you might call “birds o’ the field”–some of my favorites such as the CA quail, Western Meadowlark and Western Bluebird.  Stay tuned for updates as I get drawing, printing and sewing!
